Submit your Request for Arbitration
Arbitral proceedings commence on the date the Center receives the request, unless the parties have agreed otherwise (Legislative Decree 1071, Article 33). The time limits under the Rules run from that day.
How to file
Review the arbitration agreement.
Prepare the request with the minimum content detailed below and gather the exhibits.
Pay the filing fee and keep the receipt; it must be attached to the request.

Three common questions at the outset
Do I need a lawyer?
The Rules do not require the request to be signed by a lawyer.
What happens if the other party does not respond?
The arbitration proceeds. A party's failure to participate does not prevent the tribunal from being constituted or from rendering an award (Leg. Decree 1071, Article 46).
Can I request an interim measure before the arbitration?
Yes. It may be requested from the courts before the proceedings commence; the request must be disclosed in the Request for Arbitration (Article 47).
